Our team

We’re a tight, collaborative team of researchers and product designers working in close partnership with our product management, engineering, data science, and operations teams. Our research helps inspire, design, and build the products that fuel Grand Rounds mission to raise the standard of healthcare for everyone, everywhere. We have a direct impact on product strategy, roadmaps, and new experiences. We are passionate advocates for all our users - from our award-winning care team, to our doctors and clinicians, to the users who use our products and services every day. We are transforming a confusing and archaic system and we relish the challenge of making life better for the people who need us the most.


We’re looking for a deeply curious Senior UX researcher to focus on our internal tools for our clinical and care teams. If you strive to understand complex workflows and decision-making by highly-intelligent and well-trained people, and want to bring clarity to the tools they use to support their work, we might have a perfect role for you.

You’re excited to work on internal tools that our care and clinical teams rely on to deliver high-quality services to our users. You understand the importance of building tools to support internal teams so that they can focus on providing great care and service to the users of Grand Rounds.

You know how to conduct qualitative research that uncovers insights about how work gets done. You can partner effectively with internal teams to build a more efficient and humane experience across multiple tools and platforms. Your clear and inviting communication brings people along, and your empathy and connection let them see the world from the user’s perspective.

You are passionate about generative research.  You know that we’re often answering the wrong question and that a little more digging often uncovers the question that we should be asking.

You’re comfortable telling the organization uncomfortable truths about what we’re doing - with clarity, compassion, and conviction.  You build positive relationships with product managers, engineers, and the internal teams that you support. You value open and honest discussion and are always looking to learn.

*We are headquartered in San Francisco but this person can sit anywhere in the US.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in qualitative research, with an emphasis on shipping useful and usable products and services.
  • A body of work that clearly demonstrates an ability to tackle complex problems on behalf of users in collaboration with your peers in design, program management, and engineering.
  • Passionate advocacy for high-quality research, design, execution, and implementation of mobile apps and responsive web applications that demonstrably meet user needs.
  • Strong skills applying multiple research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and synthesis.
  • Ability to evangelize research methods and results to internal stakeholders, from design to product to operations.

Bonus Points
