UX research at Freshly is the systematic investigation of users and their requirements, in order to add context and insight into the process of designing the user experience. UX research employs a variety of techniques, tools, and methodologies to reach conclusions, determine facts and uncover problems. With this information at hand, the Freshly Product and Design teams will be able to develop a deep understanding of our users and their respective workflows. This will then reveal valuable information which can be fed into the design and product processes along with creating a tight feedback loop to allow for the systematic evaluation of all delivered end user functionality.


  • Running usability tests to see how customers interact with the current platform.
  • Developing surveys to get information from potential users.
  • Scheduling customer interviews and follow ups.
  • Shadowing customers to see how they interact with the platform and under what context.
  • Uncovering trends in research data and creating actionable insights
  • Supporting product designers with research efforts.

Ideal Experience

  • 1-2 years experience in a Product, Research, or Design role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Communications, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to integrate user research into product designs practices.
  • Experience with utilizing various methods including usability studies, contextual interviews and surveys.
  • Working with cross-functional partners and communicating insights.
  • Relevant experience with generative, foundational and/or tactical research methods.
