Dupla Studios is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter who’s excited about joining the early days of a growing product design studio. Your role will work alongside a senior researcher to develop research strategies for a variety of products. You will assist in study prep, execution, and delivery of original research in support of product design goals.  You need to bring to the table, a thorough understanding of quantitative research design and analysis as well as familiarity with qualitative methods. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, as well as demonstrable technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate research, including remote and immersive in-person research.
  • Dive deep into both qualitative and quantitative data in order to discover insights that generate product and service innovation.
  • Perform quick but thorough analysis in order to uncover insightful and actionable results.
  • Deliver insights both verbally and visually in a way that makes clear the complex and creates empathy and understanding for both clients and internal teams.
  • Produce result summaries, personas, user journey and opportunity maps, improvements to information architecture, workflow improvements as well as other user experience collateral.

Qualifications:

  • Willing to learn, grow and improve your knowledge of the UX research discipline
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to read people, make objective observations of behavior, and building rapport quickly.
  • Experience in the application of a variety of research methods, including but not limited to, interviews, field research, surveys, diary studies, and usability studies.
  • Authentic: always ready to help out, sincere, altruistic, candid, with a “yes and” attitude.
  • Highly motivated: self-starter who is disciplined, efficient, organized, detail-oriented, and biased towards action.
  • Able to conduct work independently, or under the guidance of a senior researcher
  • At least 2 years of experience in UX research or related field
  • A graduate of a BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, Marketing, Human-Computer Interaction, or other related fields or have equivalent practical experience.
