THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Mid-Level UX Researcher to our Product Development team in New York!

YOUR IMPACT

As a Gympass' UX Researcher, you will design and conduct user research and analyse user behaviour through qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as being responsible to conduct rapid and iterative studies and collaborative design. Your mission will be to take care of asking and answering questions that would help product team guidance ; mapping improvement/feature opportunities though data analysis, usability tests, field research and etc and to track user satisfaction together with PDs, PMs and engineering. You'll interact directly with Senior Product Designers, Product Managers and Engineers in order to improve Gympass' current and future products.You will apply your skills in advanced research methods to support design of various future-facing features and experiences across our products in order to make people's life healthier.Here you are encouraged to identify new opportunities for user experience improvements. We strive to understand our user behaviors and translate them into product initiatives that encourage people around the world to defeat inactivity.

  • Design and perform user experience tests and research, being aware about the competitive landscape;
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research (user studies, interviews, ethnography analysis) on multiple aspects related to how users around the globe experience Gympass products;
  • Be able to relate qualitative research with inputs from Data Science, Surveys, Market Research and Product Data;
  • Present research findings and recommendations to project stakeholders through written reports and presentations, including how to measure the expected impact guiding product strategy;
  • Work with the product development team to turn user insights into actionable recommendations and drive product design decisions;
  • Build the research roadmap compatible to the product design team objectives;
  • Build an innovative research program with new methods, process and workflow;

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of successful and professional design research planning, conducting, analyzing and reporting on user studies for discovery and evaluation with strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods;
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or related field or equivalent practical experience;
  • Familiarity testing with prototypes (rough drafts and sketches, paper prototypes, working prototypes) and live builds, from recruitment participants to analysing results to share with the team.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative evidences;
  • Excellent communication skills is a must, you need to be able to articulate ideas clearly when speaking in Portuguese and English;
  • Able to work independently on multiple projects at once;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize while working on multiple, simultaneous projects of varied size and complexity.

    Bonus Points If:
  • You have Design skills related to problem-solving methods.
  • Experience as a UX Designer and with Information Architecture;
  • If you have experience with applied research;
  • Fluency in Spanish (is very welcome);
  • Experience working within a global team is a huge plus.le, simultaneous projects of varied size and complexity.
