Here at Pickr we are revolutionising the way that critical large scale infrastructure projects are resourced and planned. By using our technology our customers ensure they can easily resource projects with greater flexibility and lower cost than traditional approaches.

We are currently focused on the UK’s high-speed fibre connectivity journey but our products have much wider potential reach – including several green applications – and as we enter our next stage of growth into new verticals and territories we are looking for a number of key hires who can lead us to Series A and beyond.

We are a well-funded VC business, with global ambitions – so if you’d like to be part of something genuinely different then we’d love to hear from you.

The role

We’re looking for a great designer with really strong research skills. You should be comfortable in discovery mode and able to adapt and identify the right techniques to quickly solve problems and create outstanding product features. You will be working with the VP Product and PM team and will be crucial in driving forward key projects, solving problems and helping to build a world class product team.

We value entrepreneurial people with experience building commercial software products. This is an ideal job for someone with 4-5 years of product design / UX experience who wants to be part of a rapidly growing startup, solve complex problems, feel total ownership over their work and work hard at achieving a dramatic success in a vibrant market.

  • Experienced and confident at managing UX research and uncovering insights about users’ behaviours, motivations and frustrations
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a user centred design focus able to unite and influence teams across the business
  • Excellent UI creator - Hold yourself and team to the highest design standards to ensure users receive an experience that truly delights them.
  • Lean UX approach. Know when to use best practices and when to inspire innovative approaches to problems that will set us apart from competitors.
  • Empathetic mentor. Guide other disciplines by sharing in-depth knowledge of your craft, making good use of the expertise of others.
  • Show your process. Convince the team of your solution through presenting in a clear and coherent manner supported with evidence.
  • Capable of operating in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to influence across multiple teams and levels

This is a remote role but with scope to also work from an office in Norwich or shared working space in London once we can return to the office.
