We are looking for a Principal User Experience Research Consultant: a passionate, creative thinker who has an insistence of following human-centred design principles.

Key skills

Experience in a user experience environment, where you have been using insight about people's behaviour and sentiment to inform the design of digital experiences.
Strong experience of planning and facilitating one-to-one interviews, focus groups, diary studies, contextual research and other qualitative methods.
Experience in a client-facing role working with multidisciplinary teams on end-to-end projects and programmes, from discover and strategy to delivery to market.
Commercially aware, with an understanding of what it takes to make change happen in large organisations.
Confident and experienced in stakeholder management.
Line management experience preferred - providing coaching and mentoring to help team members on project work as well as team members achieve their personal development objectives and ambitions.

The role

The role requires someone with expertise in gathering customer insight through research (qualitative and quantitative) and understanding business needs. This individual will also work closely with the Insight and Data leads to help grow and develop the research practice, championing our capabilities and services internally and externally, as well as taking a lead role in large scale programmes and projects for our clients.

As a Principal UX Research Consultant, you will be one of the most experienced research practitioners in our team. You will work with our most important clients from discovery to delivery, to create tangible results for their business and their customers. This lead role also involves developing the Insight and Data practice, and developing the research skills of more junior members of the team.

Our methodology

Develop creative methods and approaches to support the Insight and Data practice
Thought leadership in Insight and Data, such as contributing to industry panels and whitepapers.
Plan, design and execute a wide range of research methods such as stakeholder /customer interviews, diary studies, surveys, usability testing, contextual research.
Define the best approach to client briefs, assist in scoping work and participate in pitch teams.
Advise clients and colleagues on how best to gather insight and data to drive decision making.
Be a trusted advisor for our clients. Help grow and nurture long-term client relationships through a deep understanding of their business objectives, past projects and future ambitions.
