Research Program Managers build and scale global research programs to strengthen the impact of our world-class UX Research team. We do this by implementing operational systems, connecting teams and knowledge, and problem-solving operational hurdles to enable Researchers to do their most impactful work. Our Research Program Managers are experts in problem solving and multitasking, building long-term relationships, and utilizing a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills that help our talented teams operate at their highest and most effective level.Facebook is seeking a results-oriented, organized individual with strong communication skills to own knowledge management infrastructure and programs across the UX Research and Research Operations organizations to make sure the team has streamlined access to the information they need to be successful. The Research Program Manager, Knowledge Management, will systematically build tools and frameworks to document and disseminate critical information to Researchers and other Research Program Managers. They will collate and develop content and continually define scalable ways of creating, storing, accessing, updating and measuring the success of critical resources and knowledge.The ideal candidate will exhibit strong communication, organization and program management skills. They will work collaboratively to understand and advocate for the needs of the UX Research community, and build and scale tools and infrastructure that enable discovery and use of essential information to improve team efficiency and work quality. They will understand the needs, as well as opportunities to drive optimizations in the channels and forums in which knowledge is shared across the organization. They will manage our internal knowledge base (wiki), providing guidelines and support to individuals and teams creating entries to ensure content is created consistently and is of high-quality to effectively as act a centralized resource on key research policies and processes. They will standardize ways in which Research and Research Operations communicate and collaborate to help our talented teams operate at their highest and most effective level.

  • Evaluate new and existing communication, collaboration and knowledge-sharing channels to refine and build new processes, systems and materials to amplify information across the organization.
  • Own the UX Research wiki ensuring information is comprehensive, authoritative and is easily accessed by the Research community to drive clarity in how to conduct key research activities.
  • Conceptualize and implement frameworks (e.g. style guides, templates, etc.) to ensure important knowledge is consistently captured, presented and shared across the organization. Ensure cohesion in how information flows in, across and out of the organization.
  • Synthesize key messages and information (e.g. digests, etc.) in partnership with Leadership, Communications and other teams as needed, managing process to centralize, document and cascade in a timely manner.
  • Develop and execute on proactive, strategic programs in partnership with relevant teams and stakeholders to enhance knowledge-sharing and collaboration to ensure best practices are surfaced and leveraged consistently.
  • Create, promote and maintain self-serve and self-sustaining knowledge-sharing tools.
  • Continually build and refine playbooks and best practices for knowledge-sharing.
  • Measure and track long-term communications and collaboration efforts and adjust as needed, bringing in new tools and methodologies as appropriate.
  • Communicate regularly across multiple levels of the organization and raise awareness of tools, programs and impact.
  • 6+ years of experience as a project or program manager with a background in information/knowledge management and/or communications.
  • Experience handling complexity and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment that requires independent time management to simultaneously lead multiple initiatives across various groups and locations.
  • Experience building relationships to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners to work towards a common goal.
  • Experience creating communications relevant for wide audiences and using various mediums (e.g. presentations, analyses, project updates, etc.) via communication skills.
  • High independence, resourceful, flexible and detail-oriented.
  • Experience working directly with UX researchers, product designers and/or content strategists.
  • Experience working in operations or project/program management at a high-growth technology company.
  • Experience working with agencies and vendors.
