Huge is looking for several Contract Research Professionals to join our teams on some amazing projects!

At Huge, the voice of the user is baked into our DNA, and research is an essential part of everything we do. We are looking for seasoned Senior and Lead level researchers who are passionate about understanding users and uncovering their deepest needs.

As a contract researcher at Huge, you will develop research plans, conduct research, synthesize findings, and present actionable recommendations for both clients and internal teams. Candidates must be comfortable with highly collaborative work processes and will bring innovative methods and thinking to the team.

The ideal candidate is experienced with a variety of methodologies – from generative discovery work to evaluative usability testing. Familiarity with research for retail, apparel, finance, or healthcare are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, and analyze research projects from end to end producing excellent documentation for all stages, including test plans, vendor bids, discussion guides, and reporting.
  • Leverage a variety of online research environments to conduct research, including moderated and unmoderated test sessions and interviews, surveys, diary studies, online discussion boards, usability testing.
  • Collaborate with designers and strategists to set research goals and ensure quality research outputs and best-in-class designs.
  • Analyze research data and synthesize into compelling narratives, workshops and presentations.
  • Present research findings to internal team and/or clients

What We'd Like To See:

  • Hands-on experience with user research, preferably in an agency environment, working with both creative and strategy.
  • Expert moderation skills
  • Ability to negotiate complex sets of team objectives to pinpoint research questions and draft research plans accordingly
  • Experience with various research methodologies and tools and a keen understanding of when to use which.
  • Candidates must demonstrate mastery of key methods, such as usability testing, contextual inquiry, interviewing, ethnographic study design, and design research.
  • Fluency with usability heuristics and relevant HCI literature
  • Ability to adjust research plan and methodology based on unique needs of different projects.
  • Experience working with vendors for recruiting or research platforms
  • Strong writing, editing, and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Proactive, collaborative person who loves a challenge and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty.
