The Azure Cloud Design Studio is seeking a motivated, creativeresearcherwho’s obsessed with understanding customers, analyzing data, andexcitedabout the cloud. Responsibilities

You have strong quantitative UX researchskillsandhave alarge toolkit of research practices and methods.You know how to delivermeaningfulinsights foraspecificproduct, andhow those insights can applyto other contexts.You are detail-oriented and thorough, but flexible enough to work within time and product constraints. Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience conducting quantitative user research, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Proven record of having an impact on products with research activities.
  • Advanced degree in psychology, behavioral economics, political science, sociology, human-computer interactions, human factors (HF engineering OR HF psychology), industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies (statistical analysis, analytics, usability studies, interviews, surveys, user modeling, card sorting, etc.).
  • Experience producing rich insights by bridging behavioral and attitudinal data.
  • Experience with UX analytics, user data, segmentation, and data analysis.
  • Experience working closely with data scientists.
  • Experience working with large-scale data in multi-method studies
  • Experience coding with R, SQL, Python, or SPSS

Skills

  • Experience generating research plans.
  • Ability to define UX metrics and establish KPIs to track the success and failure of design changes.
  • Proficiency analyzing large-scale user data, telemetry, or quantitative datasets to uncover behavior patterns, user pain points and formulating actionable insights.
  • Segmenting users based on large-scale telemetry data and finding meaningful insights that differentiate between segments
  • Using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, or others
  • Conducting A/B testing: determining sample size, analyzing the results, visualizing the data, and building dashboards to track and communicate the findings
  • Using graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data.
  • Coordinating work on multiple products/releases.
  • Ability to effectively communicate rich customer data and articulate the implications of research findings in clear and compelling ways.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within tight timelines and with excellent project management skills.
