The Siemens Digital Industries Software group is looking for a full-time Senior Strategic User Researcher who will help us bring context and insight to designing a broad spectrum of products and services across the Siemens Software as a Service (SaaS) experience.

You will be in a highly visible role reporting to the Director – Head of Strategic User Research.

The Strategic User Research team supports a collective understanding of the user’s needs that drive the product discovery process. Our goal is to move beyond asking if we are building the right solution but ask if we are solving the right problem.

This position is a remote position limited to US-based applicants. There will be some travel required to support this position.

Main Responsibilities:

• Know Our Users: You are experienced and comfortable conducting all phases of UX research. You will proactively look for ways to understand our users better and improve their experience.
• Communicate Insights: You understand how to turn research findings into actionable, practical solutions and present them to the team and organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to incorporate research findings into the discovery and design process to create a more informed and effective user experience.
• Manage Insights: Have experience with managing the complexity of wrangling and synthesizing a wide range of user research data sources and insights.
• Document and Iterate on Process: You are experienced in creating and maintaining good documentation for research initiatives. You will work to drive research process improvements continually.
• Work Collaboratively: You have experience working in a cross-discipline environment. You will work together with engineering, customer experience, and business teams with the common goal of delivering impactful experiences to learners around the world.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in UX research role
• Master’s degree preferred but not required
• Fluency in a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Able to conduct research in a fully remote setting
• Demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills
• History of working well in collaborative, cross-discipline environments
