You will lead and conduct User Experience Research supporting the Workplace Investing portfolio, specifically looking at NetBenefits which is an investments and benefits platform that is used by over 20 million users. You will apply your agile UX research experience supporting product teams in identifying and quantifying opportunities, testing and iterating on concepts, and evaluating designs to improve the user experience and deliver significant business impact.

In our agile model, the UX Researcher is aligned to a product area, within Workplace Investing, that consist of multiple product teams. In this role, the UX Researcher partners closely with Marketing, Customer Experience, Analytics, UX Design, Product Owners, and Technologists to help agile teams bring new and improved experiences to our current and prospective customers. Specifically, this role will collaborate with specialists in our Thought Leadership, Market Research, and Customer Experience and Insights teams to align on research priorities and align on the various levels of research that may be needed for your product area. In addition, you will be responsible for working to integrate findings with your research partners to create cohesive insights for your business and UX partners.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelors and/or Masters in Design, Human Factors, Psychology, Computer Science, Statistics and/or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant design research experience conducting generative, descriptive, and evaluative research –using a breadth of the latest quantitative and qualitative research methods in usability and experience design
  • Agile research and design experience
  • Business acuity – the ability to make sense of the business and balance business and user needs

  • Ability to easily identify the research methods most appropriate for the learning need
  • Proven experience using a variety of user research tools for surveying, concept validation, remote moderated/un-moderated testing, diary studies, A/B tests, etc.
  • Experience incorporating user feedback and behavioral analytics into analysis
  • Collaborative approach seeking out partners and data from product management, design, engineering, analytics, and measurement partners to help teams find answers and generate revelatory insights
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills -- ability to structure and deliver presentations clearly, crisply, and compellingly
  • Continual improvement -- always looking for ways to improve – both individually and organizationally
