About the job

cinch is transforming the UK’s car buying experience. We’re taking one of the last industries to go digital and disrupting it with trailblazing tech and beautifully-simple customer experiences. Now as we accelerate from start-up to scale-up, we’re hiring talented, ambitious and passionate people to join us and drive our success.

Why join cinch? We’re dedicated to building and being a great technology business. Together, we’re creating a culture that is every bit as faff-free as our online customer experience, where communication is open, decisions are made quickly and everybody has the freedom to bring in new ideas. Of course, working together doesn’t mean we’re in the same room every day. Our teams spend around 60% of their time working remotely – and that’s not going to change.

The role

How do you like to work? For us, it is the most important question. We’re collaborators like nothing you’ve ever seen or experienced before, bringing researchers together with Engineers, Designers, Product Owners, and Digital Analysts. We work in squads but we share ideas in tribes, focusing on outcomes to ensure that every product development is tuned into to what our customers want.

Our approach means research is never divorced from reality. The work you do will be a fundamental part of our drive to constantly improve. As a fast-moving, rapidly-growing scale-up, we are shaping processes as we evolve. So you will have the freedom to help define our approach to user research, including how we recruit participants, facilitate sessions and communicate insights to the wider team. We put a lot of trust in our people – and that brings plenty of opportunity for you to steer the direction.

The person

Significant experience in both qualitative and quantitative user research is essential, preferably gained in a role where you can see the impact you make on the design, product and customer. Analytical, insightful and relentlessly relevant, you will build a genuinely deep understanding of customer perspectives, behaviours and digital journeys. You will also be a passionate advocate of accessibility, playing an instrumental role in ensuring that our products are inclusive, user-centric, inclusive and adaptable. We’ll throw a lot your way - are you ready to handle it?

If you’re open to new ideas, you’re ready to collaborate, you’re ready to embrace new technologies - together, we’ll do great things. Apply now.
