About the role

We are growing across the entire Design team and need experienced Design Researchers to help drive FareHarbor into the future.

As a Senior Experience Design Researcher at FareHarbor you will be executing a broad variety of experience design research to identify human behaviour, needs, and wants to inform the digital experience direction for FareHarbor’s customers around the world.

You will conduct all aspects of Experience Design Research, from research design and methodology selection to crafting findings that guide and inform Product Owners, Product Managers and Product Designers within your team.

UX Researcher - Qualitative Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product teams to identify research initiatives
  • Design hypotheses and lead studies that examine both user behaviour and attitudes
  • Generate actionable insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate product experiences
  • Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods and a subset of quantitative methods, such as surveys
  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
  • Act as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who could use our products
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners (product management, data science, analytics, business, design, engineering, etc.) to identify and prioritize knowledge gaps in our understanding of the FareHarbor experience and design research that uniquely contributes to solving for those knowledge gaps
  • Collecting and analyzing objective, numerical data from various types of user testing.
  • Act as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who do or could use our products
  • Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs
  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
  • Defining, planning and coordinating research
  • Qualitative data analysis
  • Quantitative data cleaning, coding, and analysis
  • Disseminating research insights & findings to key business stakeholders including product designers, product managers, and business unit leads
  • Develop & refine processes for emerging research practice capabilities


  • 5+ years of research related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to moderate remote testing sessions
  • Experience programming unmoderated concept tests
  • Experience using presentation tools such as Google Slides, Powerpoint or Keynote
  • Basic familiarity with Figma
