Job Description Summary As a User Experience Researcher, you’ll help your UX team, product managers, and engineers understand the users needs. You’ll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You’ll be responsible for the discovery, execution, analysis and synthesis of user research as an active member of a team that bridges the gap between Design and Technology. Job Description

In This Role, You Will

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and recommend both short-and long-term research activities, contributing to the creation of a holistic research plan

  • Contribute to the discovery, execution, analysis, and synthesis of user research
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to discover and document feature business requirements.
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers to identify and prioritize research tasks.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior (qualitative & quantitative) through usability testing, field visits and surveys.
  • Summarize research findings in meaningful, impactful deliverables (e.g. research reports).
  • Advocate for user research and help champion buy-in from stakeholders and businesses.
  • Stay up to date on current and emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends.

Education Qualification

For Roles Outside USA

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

For roles in USA:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience4years

  • Demonstrated strong understanding of Agile / Lean UX methodologies
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and product teams (interaction, UX research, engineering, content strategy).
  • Advanced skills in problem-solving and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for multiple business applications.
  • Understands key principles of design thinking, what it is and why it is important.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with a variety of stakeholders; ability to facilitate group discussions and meetings effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and pivot quickly when needed.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and a deep passion for learning.
  • Demonstrated active listening skills; ability to identify when additional information is needed from customer/manager and asks cogent and relevant questions to obtain it.
  • Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions.
  • Talk on the UX process used to create the designs.

Business Acumen

Understanding of key cross-functional concepts that impact the company, business priorities, & organizational dynamics.
Keeps current on industry landscape; ability to map industry trends to internal vision.
Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholder groups.
Understanding key principles of design thinking and research, what it is and why it is important. Explores all ideas, regardless of their source.
Understands that designing, validating, developing and deploying products and services for infrastructure-level domains requires attention to complexities between systems.

Leadership

  • Defines objectives, problems, and questions and gathers appropriate inputs before generating and evaluating solutions and answers.
  • Ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships
