About the Team

We're looking for a Senior UX Researcher to support our growing demand for UX research in the Identity and Access team at Elsevier. As a key part of this team, we do UX research to better understand the needs of our users and institutions who subscribe to our products.

About the Role

As a Senior UX Researcher, your work will range from ethnographic style product discovery to usability testing and quantitative analysis on prototypes and live products. You'll decide and suggest the most appropriate methodologies to use and ensure findings are communicated to your immediate team and beyond.

What you will be doing as a Senior UX Researcher:

Provide UX research support and guidance to several cross-functional agile teams.
Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other team members and stakeholders to plan, conduct and analyse research.
Share your research findings widely, including in Show & Tells.
Be actively involved in the UX Research team and in the Access and Identity team, including by attending and contributing to regular meetings such as Design Reviews.
Support Research Operations work, including writing and updating research and recruitment guidance and maintaining our research repository.

Key Requirements we're looking for as a Senior UX Researcher:

Designing qualitative and quantitative experiments to suit the research question, project stage and timescales.
Planning and conducting user research, applying a range of methods such as contextual interviews and usability testing.
Analysing and reporting on your findings by giving recommendations for future iterations based on your insights.
Involving product teams and other stakeholders in the research process
Working collaboratively with colleagues in a wide range of roles
Presenting your research in an engaging way to different audiences
