Senior UX Researcher

The IAM Design Research charter is to advance our design and product development teams’ understanding and insight re: the interaction between users and system elements; to bring scientific theory, principles, data and methods into the design practice. We partner with Product and Engineering teams to create innovation that enhance and improves the customer experience.

The Senior UX Design Researcher is responsible for defining and evaluating the customer experience for our products from the Industrial Design perspective. You will work closely with the designers, so along with your design research experience your experience as a designer, or working with designers, is required. You will work with the Research Lead and design team to help create and evaluate concepts by prioritizing research questions based on analysis of current knowledge, project goals, and identified risks.

As a Senior UX Researcher, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and executing qualitative and quantitative research using different methods and techniques based on project goals and timelines
• Conducting research to uncover and investigate unmet needs (e.g. group and 1:1 interview facilitation skills, ethnographic skills, JTBD, journey mapping, design heuristic evaluation, etc.)
• Applying research expertise to help teams design meaningful and usable solutions (e.g. lead ideation sessions, conduct concept resonance and feedback research)
• Working to get to the “so what”; surfacing fresh insights and opportunity areas from research
• Challenging traditional assumptions about UX Design and Research – seeking out, inventing, testing and sharing new directions and technologies

• Have demonstrable experience of conducting/leading Design Research/ User Experience Research efforts
• Be Proficiency with design tools like Figma and Figjam
