Senior UX Researcher

Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time Senior UX Researcher who will help us bring context and insight to the process of designing the Toucan experience. You will work closely with other members of the design team to investigate learner needs and requirements. You will be joining a premier team dedicated to making language learning fun, engaging, and accessible to all.

While we are headquartered in Los Angeles, this position is remote but limited to US-based applicants.

Main Responsibilities:

• Know Our Learners: You are experienced and comfortable conducting all phases of UX research. You will proactively look for ways to better understand our learners and improve the user experience.
• Communicate Insights: You understand how to turn research findings into actionable, effective solutions and present them to the team. You will work closely with our design team to incorporate research findings into the production process to create a more informed and effective user experience.
• Document and Iterate on Processes: You are experienced in creating and maintaining good documentation for research initiatives. You will work to drive research process improvements on a continual basis.
• Work Collaboratively: You have experience working in a cross-discipline environment. You will work together with engineering, customer experience, and business teams with the common goal of delivering impactful experiences to learners around the world.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in UX research role; ed-tech experience is preferred
• Fluency in a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills
• Able to conduct research in a fully remote setting
• History of working well in a collaborative, cross-discipline environment
