Snr. User Experience Researcher

As a UX Researcher, you’ll lead research to transform our Institutional B2B products. You’ll help define research best practices and processes. You’ll partner with internal and external business, strategy, design and technology organizations to lead innovation of client-facing digital experiences informed by client needs, market trends and the latest technology. At the core of this role, your research insights will directly impact client outcomes.

As part of the Institutional Investor Group – Customer Experience UX Team, you’ll join a group of UX specialists with a growth mindset working on products that improve people’s financial wellness. Beyond working with an amazing group of researchers, strategists, designers and content writers–all who have hybrid/diverse backgrounds, you’ll be able to collaboratively define processes and set best practices while enjoying a great team culture and supportive leadership. This role:

  • Develops research plans and approach. Communicates approach to stakeholders and gains necessary buy-in. Develops a research plan covering each stage of research and communicates results to all relevant stakeholders. Develops research materials, secures approval from internal partners as necessary, and reports to leaders on research findings.
  • Conducts qualitative and quantitative research and/or partners with external vendors. Interprets marketing trends. Develops research findings and ensures recommendations are actionable, aligned with business priorities across Vanguard, and shared with appropriate team members and stakeholders.
  • Integrates primary and secondary research data.
  • Presents research findings to stakeholders and senior leaders, gains buy-in from key decision makers, and makes recommendations to facilitate decision-making process.
  • Selects and manages external research vendors as needed. Identifies deliverables and timelines. Ensures accuracy and completeness of deliverables provided by external research vendors.
  • Stays abreast of innovations within and outside the industry which could provide opportunities.
  • Manages own workload to ensure work is prioritized and time is managed effectively.
  • Develops and leverages a professional network to foster collaboration across the enterprise, to support company-wide initiatives, and to improve the ability of our organization in resolving issues.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes:

  • Minimum five years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in a creative or technical field. Graduate degree preferred.
