We spark ideas that lead to positive impact and continued success.If you want to be part of this important mission, we want to hear from you.The Senior User Experience Researcher has experience in both design research and human factors, and is responsible for executing a variety of user research studies to support the development and iteration of hardware and software products, as well as the advancement of customer empathy.

‍Key Responsibilities

Influencing product vision and strategy

• Refine and improve the long-term direction of how your product evolves in correlation to the business strategy
• Help us understand the product, the future vision, and how we'll achieve it
• Plan and conduct Design Thinking activities with your multi-disciplinary and drive your team to excellence in execution
• Influence partners and their approach, strategy, and processes
  

Designing research plans

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the direction and vision for your assigned research activities
• Plan strategic user research initiatives that span across multiple products in the program
• Actively contribute to the user research process and documentation
  

Running research

• Design Consistently consider how your research can support the goals of your team and the broader program vision
• Conduct a variety of research studies including contextual inquiry, user interviews, focus groups, task analysis, card sorting, expert reviews, design walkthroughs, formative and summative usability tests, and surveys
• Communicate research data and outcomes to the program stakeholders, provide easy to understand KPIs, and advise on the next steps
  

Executing within the medical environment constrains

• Lead the UCD activities for your program, according to our work instructions
• Ensure all required Design documentation comply with the IEC 62366-1:2015 specification
  

Collaborating to learn and grow

• Partner with design peers to develop and evolve the long-term UX strategy for our internal tools to ensure UX is always at the heart of every development
• Actively engage with designers and other researchers to give and solicit feedback to continually ensure that the design solutions are smart and safe to use
• Actively share feedback and comments on others' work to help them grow in their field
  

Requirements

• Masters in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or closely related field is preferred
• 8+ years of experience in user research with an emphasis on research related to software and hardware product design
• Excellent knowledge of all aspects of User Centered Design process and the ability to apply them flexibly across a variety of project types
• Experience working in the healthcare domain with design control, regulatory practices, and standards for medical devices or similar regulated industries is a nice to have
• Knowledge of agile software development methods is highly desired
• Great communication and presentation skills that speak to a broad range of audiences

• Excellent analytical abilities, especially about understanding user behavior
• Extensive experience working with designers, product managers, and engineers in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Experience with in-lab and remote, user research tools (e.g., DoveTail, Morae Suite, Tobii, UserZoom)
• Proven project management skills and track record of delivering commitments on time
• A proven track record of working well with multi-disciplinary/multi-cultural teams
