What you’ll do:

You are eager to create a shared understanding of our users - customers, and partners - within our organization. It is your job to execute hands-on research and professionalize the research capability in New10. You’ll work closely with other teams to gather and contextualize findings in all design stages, from open-ended exploratory research to small experiments and usability evaluations. To advise product visions and support near-term delivery. You’ll work with designers, product owners and data analysts to turn research into measurable user insights. Also, you will be advising and training product designers and other people who do research.

We are looking for someone who can focus on the details and get things done, while working on the big picture to move the organization further towards a mature customer centered culture. A person with good communication skills, a strong knowledge of research practice and the ambition to take our research practice to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Research: Drive, plan, execute and share.
• Plan and design user research of all types, both generative and evaluative.
• Drive the end-to-end user research lifecycle for certain projects, including selection of methods that align with research questions and business goals.
• Design and analyze qualitative studies that find opportunities by way of meaningful insights.
• Share insights with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, through writing and presentations.
• Collaborate to help define our user research strategy and evolve our research process.
• Professionalize research capability by making studies and insights easily available across the organization.
• Measure experience and effectiveness of product features.
• Advise and mentor others on research opportunities and best practices.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in psychology, behavioural sciences, HCI, design, or equivalent discipline
• 6+ years hands-on experience performing user research.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Fluent Dutch language skills to communicate with our customers and English to communicate with colleagues
• Expertise in doing qualitative research and knowledge of basic quantitative methodologies.
• Proven track record uncovering, synthesizing, and distributing impactful insights that advised product strategy and decisions.
• Track record of research that has had a lasting impact on product and design decisions.
• Solid understanding of the user-centred design process and research method
• Familiarity with scrum/agile
