The Byju’s User Research Labs team comes from diverse backgrounds. We are curious and detail-oriented individuals committed to a kid-centric design research approach to effectively complement product development at Byju’s.

We are a small but growing, independently-placed team within Byju’s Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd., and value our freedom to explore and think-outside-the-box. (But with that freedom comes the understanding that all the project work required, will be completed irrespective of who is asked to do specific tasks.) As a Jr. User Experience Researcher, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Stay up-to-date with Research & Development in Child Development and Playful Learning
  • Proactively lead Scheduling and Implementation of Field Research
  • Communicate with Sr. User Experience Researchers to adapt Research Frameworks
  • Transcribe & Code Research Notes for Effective Synthesis Discussions
  • Contribute to Synthesis & final Communication Design for handover to other Byju’s teams
  • This includes the production of deliverables including prototypes, proof of concept documents, wireframes, user flows, use cases, user scenarios, user journeys and user personas

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of hands-on Design Research experience (digital + phygital products)
  • Great with kids 5-10 years old, and comfortable guiding them through play test scenarios
  • Knowledge about play and its role in children's everyday life and development
  • Well versed in the use of Adobe Illustrator/Sketch/Figma/Google Slides and/or other industry standard wireframing and presentation tools
  • Capable of simple video editing to make field data structured and accessible
