The Lead Product Designer will apply a design thinking mindset, user research skills, and business strategy to align teams around a human-centric roadmap. They collaborate closely with product owners, product managers, and fellow designers across their portfolio.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represent the user’s perspective throughout the product lifecycle through discovery, ideation, and validation
  • Evangelize UX within your team and across the department, be a strong voice for Human Centered design.
  • Balance user needs, business objectives and technical feasibility to solve problem effectively.
  • Conduct generative user research such as contextual inquiry, ethnography, field research, user interviews, and stakeholder interviews
  • Transform user research into assets such as affinity walls, journey maps, empathy maps, story boards, personas, etc.
  • Justify your research strategy and insights to stakeholders (un)familiar with the UX discipline
  • Work collaboratively with product owners, product managers, and fellow designers
  • Review quality of solution throughout the product development process.
  • Measure and analyze product/idea growth and success.
  • Facilitate and lead design thinking sessions/workshops with various technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Guide product decisions through user research and iterative feedback loops
  • Apply user experience best practices and principles to low and/or high fidelity designs, from wireframes to mockups to interactive prototypes

Skills Required:

‍Bachelor's Degree Design Thinking Skills Design Tool Familiarity Analytical User Research Technical Design Writing

Experience Required:

‍Need to be well versed with experience in UX Research, Visual Design, Interaction Design, and User/Usability Testing .

  • 2-4+ years of experience in UX Research / User Testing
  • 2-4+ years of experience in Usability Testing
  • 2-4+ years of experience in Interaction Design / Prototyping /Wireframing
  • 2-4+ years of experience in Visual Design
  • 2-4+ years of experience in a UI/UX/ID position
  • Experience leading others in UX and design.
  • Experience with multiple design tools
  • Experience in Agile development, extreme programming environment, test driven development and software craftsmanship.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as facilitation and presentation skills with an engaging presentation style.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with product teams, business customers, and end users.
  • Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems; be committed to lifelong design learning.
  • Technical and problem solving mindset
  • Experience working independently with clients
  • Experience designing full-service consumer and/or business applications
