Your Responsibilities

‍As a UX Researcher for Parts Modern Solutions located in Chicago/Remote, you will be responsible for collaborating with Software Engineers and Product Managers to drive the overall design and development of the Modern Order Fulfillment, Finance, and Warehousing solutions used by internal John Deere employees and Dealers around the world. Your primary responsibility will be around user interface usability, customer persona research, and experience mapping. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting UX research for Order to Cash and Procure to Pay end to end processes
  • Conducting UX research with our external Dealer customers
  • Working with Product Managers to identify and prioritize customer pain points to feed product backlogs
  • Creating research reports, user journey maps, workflows, personas, day-in-the-life scenarios, and use case summaries to help deepen the organizational understanding of our users
  • Working with software engineers to prototype and evaluate alternate solutions

What Skills You Need (Required Skills/experiences)

  • 4 or more years of professional experience in UX research
  • 4 or more years of experience using a variety of research tools and methodology
  • 3 or more years of work experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
  • 4 or more years of varied UX design experience (e.g. creating wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and specifications)
  • 4 or more years of experience working in a team environment
  • Effective interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

What Makes You Stand Out (Desired Skills/experiences)

  • Expertise in Figma
  • Knowledge of statistics and research study design
  • Experience in design thinking
  • Knowledge of dealer workflows, challenges, and needs

Education

‍Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Research, or equivalent experience
