Ancestry is looking for a passionate and highly motivated User Experience Researcher to join ourteam. The Research team is an integral part of Ancestry organization and represents the voice of the customer. As a User Experience Researcher, you will work directly with marketing, commercialization, product & design teams to synthesize insights from existing and new research to help identify opportunities to improve the product experience for our customers.The Ancestry work model is currently 100% remote. You are welcome to leverage our offices in either Lehi (Salt Lake City area) or San Francisco (downtown, across from SF Giants baseball stadium) as much or as little as you want.

What you will do:

  • Fully own evaluative/usability studies and some generative and large scale quantitative projects
  • Works with cross functional team to understand challenges and starts to recommend various research options
  • Present study findings and suggestions to cross functional team to help capitalize on new business opportunities
  • Actively broaden exposure and abilities to an expanding set of research tools/methods, particularly on the survey/quantitative side

Who You Are:

  • 2-3 years of user or consumer-focused qualitative research experience, ie contextual inquiry and usability testing
  • Some knowledge of quantitative research methodologies and data analysis techniques with desire to expand these skills and experiences
  • Ability to combine synthesized data & learnings from multiple sources to bring research insights to life
  • Top-notch writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ideal candidate will have interest and/or experience with Family History
