Job Description

At Totaljobs we have a simple but very important mission: As one of the leading online job platforms, we help everyone find the right job.

To understand our customers better than they understand themselves and to provide customer insights for future developments to the broader product team, we are looking for a UX Researcher (m/f/d) to work remotely for our offices in Germany, Belgium, Poland, Ireland, South Africa or the UK.

In this role you will work across the market within Totaljobs and be responsible for conducting high quality research using a range of methods. You will analyze and synthesize the learnings to identify patterns, themes and actionable insights and use them to steer product development.

Does this sound like you? If so, we need you for our UX Research Team! We’re always interested in working with amazing people. Get in touch - we’d love to hear from you!

Your Tasks

1. Qualitative and Quantitative Research:

  • Collaborate on the end-to-end research process from identifying the right research questions, conducting the research studies to final debrief.
  • Develop screeners to recruit participants, directly or through 3rd parties as appropriate.
  • Create guidelines and conduct observational studies and in-depth interviews.
  • Design and conduct surveys on and off site.
  • Define tasks, write scripts and conduct unmoderated and moderated usability testing.
  • Synthesize and analyze research results and present actionable insights back to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor Voice of Customer feedback channels, identify emerging trends and report back to stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain typologies/personas, mental models, and map out user journeys.

2. Collaboration:

  • Assist and consult on research projects with a diverse, international and supportive group of researchers of various levels of experience.
  • Discuss research briefs and results with product managers and ensure that pain points throughout the customer journey are fed into business priorities and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Designers, providing what they need to create potential solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Analysts or Data Scientists where relevant during research tasks.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years solid, demonstrable proficiency and experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Experience with secondary research and VOC data.
  • Ability and experience in moderating user interviews in English.
  • Fluency in German is a strong plus.
  • Nice to have: Degree or higher in Human Factors, ergonomics, cognitive psychology, behavioural economics, usability, anthropology, design or equivalent field. We prefer practical experience and skills over degrees.
