Job Summary

As the UX Researcher/Designer, you will perform generative and evaluative user research for conceptual ideas, design mockups, and web and mobile applications centered around health care data navigation and usability. The position serves as a core member of the Quantum Health Product Design team, working closely with Product Development, Application Development, Creative Services, Business Intelligence, and function heads across the business. You will work on both internal and external Quantum Health applications and websites for our care specialists and members.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

·         Lead user research efforts for end-to-end product development from conceptualization, validations, and final product usability testing

·         Manage and conduct usability research and concept development

·         Investigate client/member behavior to create user personas

·         Lead users throughout the process of proposing, wireframing, and implementing UX improvements

·         Work closely with Product teams to identify research topics

·         Lead recruitment activities for user research

·         Plan and implement enterprise user research strategy and methods


·         Conceive, design and prototype user experiences and interfaces (demonstrated through user journey maps, storyboards, site maps, screen flows, etc.) in technically complex applications

·         Apply UX research to create best-in-class user experience

·         Design low/high fidelity wireframes and mockups

·         Create web optimized production assets from approved mockups

·         Create and effectively present user experience deliverables to key stakeholders across organization

Skills and Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in psychology, design, cognitive science, computer science, information science, or related field
  • Five years of experience as a UX Research Specialist or similar role
  • Experience with conducting user research and evidence-based design
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, behavioral analysis, and statistics; expertise with generative and evaluative usability research best practices
  • Comfortable with creating, managing, and facilitating usability research sessions both virtually and in-person, with samples of varying sizes and need
  • Ability to solve problems with short notice; high level of comfortable with ambiguity and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • In-depth understanding of UI design practices
  • Experience with visual design; expertise with digital design and rapid prototyping tools (especially Sketch, InVision and Adobe Creative Cloud applications)
  • Familiarity with responsive design and development for web and mobile
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to relay research methodology concepts and findings in a clear, simple, and relatable manner across enterprise
  • Familiarity with project management tools and processes (especially Monday.com)
