You’ll be comfortable using an extensive repertoire of generative and evaluative, qualitative and quantitative research methods to help build a deep understanding of our users, including but not limited to field research, interviews, surveys, remote usability testing, heuristic evaluations, competitive benchmarking, and focus groups.

You’ll be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and able to be credible and influential with senior colleagues. You will be able to bring both analytical rigour and creative stretch, making sure the right research questions are asked and guide the design team to take action aligned with research findings – inspire and help them develop solutions that will delight and support our customer’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify knowledge gaps, opportunities, and risky assumptions across the products and provide research to address them.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Design and Development Leadership to ensure that your research findings provide your colleagues with the insights to make user and data-informed decisions. Utilize effective storytelling to deliver insights about users and their behaviours both verbally and visually to generates empathy, emotion and engagement.
  • Evangelise UX across the business and be the voice of our users and customers, ensuring that we are constantly solving real problems for them while delivering high-quality, useful and usable experiences.
  • Create and implement long-term research plans that align with and support business strategy and user experience goals.
  • Engage various stakeholders and bring people together in structured workshops and activities to organize research questions, create hypothesis, communicate research findings, and build UX deliverables.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years conducting UX Research studies, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment or similar with a portfolio that demonstrates past work experience and deliverables (e.g. case studies, presentations, workshop content, etc).
  • Experience with UX Research tools like the OptimalSort, UserZoom, UserTesting.com, or other such tools as well as experience with Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or other survey platforms.
  • Autonomously organize yourself, taking full ownership of and responsibility for your work across platforms such as Jira, Trello, Miro etc.
  • Experience of recruitment of users and creating communication plans for ongoing user engagement.
  • Ability to plan, conduct and analyse mixed methods research that effectively combines quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Build out research practices & systems to support product growth across the company.
  • Experience conducting a variety of strategic research studies (like generative and explanatory research).
  • Superior communication, time-management, relationship management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work and contribute in a fast-paced client needs and metrics-driven environment.
  • Experience with mentorship and/or running research enablement program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or MS in a human behaviour related field (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience)
