What a Typical Day With Us Looks Like

Wayfair Professional serves professional customers in many industries - including Interior Design, Commercial Office, Contractor, Hospitality, Property Management / Accommodations, Education, and Foodservice - with cross-functional teams focused on improving the customer experience in each of our target verticals. While the B2B business has transformed over the past few years, we have barely scratched the surface of this $100B+ opportunity in North America and have just begun to expand into the EU.

You will partner with peers and stakeholders such as Content Strategists, Designers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, Product Analytics, Industrial Engineers, and Operations. You will be active in our team rituals, such as sprint reviews and Show & Tells. You may travel (<10%) to different locations for team summits and other group events.

  • As a User Researcher, you will define clear problem statements, scope out research projects end-to-end to uncover key business problems, select appropriate methods and tools to help us gain and share insights more efficiently and accurately. You will influence and persuade Cross-functional leaders and more senior partners.
  • Support your team by improving current processes, supporting vision and strategy, and providing feedback on individuals' craft and challenges.
  • Have critical thinking skills, and prioritize work that drives long-term value. You will execute with urgency, learn from failure, and nimbly pivot. The outcomes of your efforts are impactful, measurable results.
  • Are proficient in industry standard tools in research (Qualtrics, Userzoom/Usertesting, Optimal Workshop, Reduct) and collaboration tools like Figma and Miro.
  • Have mixed methods proficiency – you will be doing both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Are product centric – your research will be focused on the digital CX and helping product and design to discover and deliver on new opportunities
  • Have a [Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)] or related field
  • Have an online portfolio of case studies that demonstrates unfailing advocacy for the user, highlighting: e-commerce design work, mobile design work, analytical decision-making, and strategic thinking.
