As the UX Optimisation Manager, you will drive and own Matalan’s experimentation programme including technology, processes and roadmap.
You will develop & manage a team of Optimisation Analysts in support of the wider UX & E-Commerce team. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to optimise & improve Matalan’s digital customer journey, managing an experimentation roadmap consisting of insight-led hypotheses for improvement and measuring the performance of Matalan’s A/B, ABn and multivariate experiments.
You will work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary UX team, managing the optimisation toolkit and processes to analyse and improve the user experience of Matalan’s customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management & analytical skills with experience in statistical methods, designing, conducting, analyzing and reporting on A/B experiments.
This role is based within our Head Office in Liverpool in a hybrid world, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Ownership of Matalan’s experimentation roadmap, maintaining, prioritising & analysing the potential impact of hypotheses on the business & customer in-line with our product backlog.
Evangelise an experimentation culture throughout the business, applying test & learn thinking to business & customer initiatives.
Management of a growing backlog of experimentation initiatives, conducting quantitative data analysis to identify usability pain-points and formulating experiment hypotheses that can drive improvement.
Work alongside the wider UX Team to generate hypotheses as part of the UCD process.
Determine KPIs for our experimentation efforts, ensuring they are trackable & measurable.
Utilise strong analytics skills to determine the performance of all on-site experimentation, identifying next steps & future iterations.
Present experimentation results, clearly articulating outcomes which can be communicated with stakeholders of all levels.
Own Matalan’s experimentation technology, working closely with our product & development teams to ensure efficiency in building experiments.
Work closely with our analytics function to develop & maintain automated reports, ensuring accurate, timely reporting with clear visualisations and insight.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar experimentation / CRO / analytics / UX role.
Strong experience with AB Testing platforms e.g. Maxymiser, Optimizely or similar.
Expert knowledge & hands-on experience of analytics tools e.g. ContentSquare, GoogleAnalytics or Snowlow.
Understanding of product development & agile principles.
Understanding of statistics & the scientific method.
Strong written & verbal communication.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite / GoogleDocs & project management tools e.g. AirTable & JIRA.
Excellent planning & organisational skills.
Desirable: Experience with VoC tools such as Qualtrics / Hotjar / UserTesting.
