Who you are?

Are you a UX researcher that is able to move at a fast pace and know how to navigate within constraints, doing just enough research to get the job done? Are you comfortable with ambiguity and have a strong desire to help shape new products in an emerging space?

The role?

You will be responsible for helping define and drive the future of our products. You will reveal what our users need from our products by conducting research, working with cross-functional teams, and performing usability studies.

These responsibilities also include inspiring change, delivering oral and written presentations, evaluating qualitative and quantitative data, and helping the Product Design and Gala Labs team better understand what would make a user’s experience more intuitive, accessible, and seamless.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct primary and secondary user research.
Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research.
Perform market and ethnographic research.
Perform usability studies with consumers of Labs products and services.
Embed yourself into cross-functional product teams to proactively identify gaps in knowledge and opportunities for research to help ensure we deliver well-designed products that truly meet our customer’s needs.
Passionately disseminate your insights and findings to elevate not only the collective understanding of our customers but also the user research discipline.
Perform usability studies with consumers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

2+ years as in a UX research (or equivalent) role.
Can demonstrate experience leading both exploratory and evaluative research projects that have had a meaningful impact on the direction of a product or design.
A broad toolkit of research methods and an understanding of the right deliverable for the job - from journey maps to running workshops.
Experience sharing work, writing and presenting well-articulated insights to all levels of the company and documenting research that is both actionable and timeless.
Experience collaborating with Product, Design, Data and the wider business throughout projects.
Know how to surface the most important insights and recommendations to help drive the highest priority decisions that get the best outcomes for both the customer and the company.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications

Experience working with Blockchain, NFT, and/or Cryptocurrency technologies
Comfort with working remotely on a full-time basis
