To grow our capabilities, we are seeking an experienced UX Researcher to lead improvements in our customer experience journey. As an ideal candidate, you will apply Lean UX and Design Thinking method and conduct research to identify unmet customer needs in various products as well as deliver innovative solutions to delight customers and grow market share. You will bring a proven ability to design product capabilities for usability and accessibility. In this role, you will help build and enhance the next generation of AmeriSave’s proprietary, industry-leading mortgage origination technology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary and secondary user research and plan, gather, analyze, and generate insights about consumer behavior and preferences
  • Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data to compile well-documented research findings and present actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Perform market and ethnographic research to identify unmet needs in the mortgage industry and opportunities for new product capabilities
  • Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations
  • Mentor and coach junior UX researchers on the team
  • Perform usability studies with consumers and internal users
  • Ask questions, gather data, and analyze data
  • Use a diverse set of UX research tools
  • Assist the development team in understanding consumer needs, building low and high-fidelity wireframe, mock-ups and run usability and accessibility tests within agile methodologies
  • Collaborate with technical team to ensure that product technology, structure, organization, design, and functionality reflect the voice of the customer, are user-centric and metrics-based
  • Play an integral role as a thought leader in advocating for user centered design and usability of product capabilities across the organization
  • Create clear, organized, and referenceable systems of documentation and ensure their adoption across teams
  • Create a UX research roadmap for continuous improvement across products and recommend appropriate technologies and methods

Requirements

  • Education requirement: A bachelor’s degree in human behavior, engineering or related fields preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of UX research experience. Fintech experience is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in effectively performing all research-related tasks, including researching, planning, evaluating, and iterating using appropriate research methods
  • Proven competency in data analytics and qualitative aspects of UX research
  • Experience working with partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to identify personas, consumer behavior and preferences
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills: clear, efficient, and friendly communication
  • Strong commercial acumen with a positive, pragmatic attitude
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Able to meet deadlines; flexible and adaptable when plans inevitably change
