UX Researcher

QuotaPath is the industry-leading sales compensation software and we are looking for a UX Researcher to join our rapidly growing team. This is the first position of its kind at QuotaPath, which comes with a wide set of responsibilities. You’ll report to the Director of Product and as a UX Researcher, you’ll immerse yourself in our close-knit team of product managers, designers, and front-end developers to solve design challenges through data and analysis. This is a great opportunity to work with a committed and tight-knit team in an overall successful and growing start-up!

‍You will be responsible for:

• Working with our Product and Design teams to creatively identify and explore new opportunities to help define our product roadmap, vision, and strategy
• Collaborating with a diverse group of cross-functional product, design, engineer, and product marketing partners to achieve alignment and impact
• Designing and conducting both qualitative and quantitative user research
• Defining impactful research questions, select research methods, facilitate research, and communicate findings that focus on real user impact
• Pioneering research methods when creative methods are necessary, employing a wide range of research methodologies including surveys, journey maps, interviews, task-based usability tests, and others
• Synthesizing and communicate research findings to drive understanding and user empathy across the organization
• Using your expertise to teach your quantitative and qualitative methods to other members of this team
• Partnering with product managers, designers, architects, engineers, and marketers to convert their needs and inputs into research plans
• Sourcing & scheduling customer interviews and research candidates for sessions and surveys
• Conducting moderated research sessions and unmoderated research surveys
• Synthesizing raw research findings into actionable product, pricing, and go-to-market recommendations and insights
• Collaborate on user flows with Product Management and document journey maps with UX Design
• Promote proven research methodologies, testing best practices, and optimize research operations
• Validate and enhance user personas with Product Management & UX Design, and buyer personas with the Marketing team
  

What you bring to the table:

• 3-5 years conducting user research for software/web-based products with demonstrated impact on the products you worked on
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to grasp, contextualize, and apply research findings
• Experience designing and leading generative and evaluative research using a range of techniques (eg remote and in-person interviews, usability testing, concept testing, workshops, journey mapping, surveys, card sorts, A/B testing, diary studies, contextual observations, first click testing)
• Extremely organized and capable of juggling multiple projects at the same timeYou enjoy contributing to the formation of research teams as they grow and scale
• A passion to build user-focused products that solve important problems
• Self-driven, kind, inclusive, passionate, and highly collaborative
• Varied experience with both quantitative and qualitative methods of research, deep insight, and interviewing customers of different sectors and company sizes
• Comfort with the unknown, moving targets and building a path forward
• Diverse industry experience, ideally with work primarily in B2B with some experience in B2C
• Proven experience learning and leveraging a variety of online research tools; Dovetail, Otter, UserZoom, UserTesting, Qualtrics, Medallia, Pointillist, etc.
  

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with research tools such as Optimal Workshop, Survey Monkey or Userlytics
• Experience with Figma
  

About the location

‍Our team is co-headquartered in Philadelphia and Austin. We have a preference for you to be in Austin, but just like this role, we’re thinking big. Collaboration and teamwork should be able to happen regardless of where your desk is.

‍What’s in it for you?

‍The intended budget for this role is currently $110,000 - 130,000 per year with generous equity and up to 10% quarterly bonus eligibility. We’re building a company on transparency, collaboration, and trust, and are flexible on budget depending on experience level.
