The User Experience (UX) Researcher, Specialist II is responsible for devising and executing User Experience research studies. The UX Researcher will apply qualitative and quantitative research and analysis in support of Research & Development (R&D) initiatives. The UX Researcher will partner with Product, UX and Developer teams to plan and conduct research that will yield informed business decisions based on user studies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal clients to define, plan, and conduct qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Report on findings of usability testing, interviews, and surveys.
  • Analyze, synthesize, and present findings to stakeholders with clarity and agility using a combination of various user feedback, research tools, and methodologies.
  • Communicate findings and opportunities in clear, concise, and compelling ways to stakeholders and product team(s).
  • Design and implement discovery research, including interviews and competitive analysis, to identify and solve user problems.
  • Engage in discovery and definition activities, such as task analysis, affinity diagramming, persona creation, and user scenarios.
  • Inform and collaborate with stakeholders and project team(s) to develop and incorporate accessibility guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the product team(s) to refine business requirements and apply research-based knowledge of user needs to guide project discussion and decisions.
  • Communicate analysis of end user experience and feedback to designers and production artists with research analyses and insights that support recommendations for design modifications.

Education And Experience

  • Required/Preferred Specific Major or Concentration
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Or, any combination of education, experience, and training which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction.

Experience

Required/Preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in UX research in an agile development process.
  • Experience using UX research tools such as User Testing, Usability Hub, and Qualtrics.
  • Experience with medical software and/or complex workflows.
  • Experience with remote research and testing tools.
  • Or, any combination of education, experience, and training which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

Preferred Experience with Electronic Health Care and other medical software.

  • Conducting rapid-iterative usability testing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conduct research in a remote working environment.
