As a UX Researcher within the Homes Domain, you’ll contribute to the on-going digital transformation of Santander.

You’ll align your research against the strategic objectives of the Homes Division and working with the Homes Innovation team take responsibility for helping to prioritise a clear roadmap of features that will be delivered through our agile development team. You’ll ensure we provide a first-class user experience as we provide more services to our mortgage customers that take us beyond banking.

You’ll lead our research, and add to the analytical capability of the team by combining user insights with market trends. You’ll support us as we work closely with all parts of the business ensuring the department’s strategic objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively in alignment to our customer centric approach.

  • Helping us to deliver a customer first, experience led product to market that solves real world problems faced by our customers
  • Leading the discovery and quantification of business value to ensure it is delivered early and often whist considering user and customer needs, maximising user understanding, usability, and market viability
  • Switching between market analysis and discovery with continuous new feature development and user testing.
  • Maintaining a relevant level of technical knowledge, understanding how to prioritise features within the customer journey against technical complexity, while helping them achieve their goal through the service
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of research tools and methodologies in the Homes Division and looking at how we can decentralise research

What you’ll bring.

  • Proven analytical and problem analysis skills - able to draw meaningful conclusions from data and use to present business cases and demonstrate success through key metrics.
  • Demonstrate understanding of various research methodologies, and how to apply the appropriate research methodology to the project needs

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experience in delivering an end-to-end user journey, validated with end users and with clear success criteria and metrics
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the financial services/property industry and relevant commercial sectors, the organisation, business, and regulatory environment.
  • Influencing skills to facilitate cross-functional working across the Homes Division and wider business
  • Identifying new tools and techniques improve processes, driving speed and cost reduction in experimentation

We offer a Hybrid working approach with your time split between the office and home. The role is a FTC.
