Job Description

‍As an information architect on our website-s Experience Design and Content Team, you will be responsible for understanding our customers, information they seek, and improving the ways in which they go about finding it on Agilent.com. You'll define and govern the labeling, organization, and navigation of our website and the taxonomy that we use for enterprise search and for syndicating content in our content management system. You-ll work with business partners, content strategists, UX designers, and developers to plan new sections of our site to support new products and site features. To make sure our decisions are based on customer needs, you-ll run UX research activities such as customer interviews, tree testing, and usability testing of wireframes and prototypes that you have designed.

Your Responsibilities

  • Improve the organization, labelling, navigation, and search systems of Agilent.com.
  • Govern the taxonomy that we use to tag content in our CMS and DAM systems.
  • Work with our digital team and business stakeholders to prioritize improvements to site architecture, content and features using UX research, best practices, SEO and business input.
  • Work with our search, content strategy, and UX teams to improve content structure, tagging, and rules for faceted search and content syndication.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in information architecture (IA), either as an information architect or in related roles such as a UX researcher, UX designer, or content strategist.
  • Experience running usability tests and other UX research activities and translating findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience wireframing and prototyping in Figma, Sketch, Invision, Axure, or similar.
  • Good systems thinker who can convert analytics, UX research, business needs, and best practices into IA, design and content strategies.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills with the ability to build consensus across cross-functional teams.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience at a large B2B or ecommerce website.
  • Experience working with enterprise PIM, DAM, and CMS systems, such as Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Experience creating website taxonomies for faceted search and content syndication.
  • Experience in the life sciences. You don't need to be an expert in chromatography or genomics, but you need to understand these technologies well enough to categorize our products and information.
