UX Researcher, APAC

However, this doesn’t happen without some really awesome people. We are looking for a User Researcher, APAC interested in joining the Product Design team to help craft the next generation of web and mobile applications. This role is responsible for helping provide actionable and meaningful data-driven insights that represent the voice of multiple users.

This role requires strong communication skills as it will collaborate with PM, stakeholders and other designers. S/he must have extensive knowledge and experience in user research with proven experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment.

In order to succeed in this role, you’ll have to collaborate across developments, design, and marketing teams to evaluate current and upcoming user research needs that help improve product definition and drive business goals.

You will be based in our exciting Singapore office to support our growing regional Product team. You will also be part of an international team of highly talented and motivated people.

What's on the menu:

  • Advocate for users in a fast-paced, corporate climate, foster a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between design, business and engineering.
  • Prioritise projects based on business impact, user needs, duration and complexity
  • Develop well-crafted research plans with clear research objectives including usability research screeners and discussion guides
  • Collaborate with peers in other design teams and contribute to the global design/ research community
  • Recruit targeted end-users for specific research studies and moderate one-on-one usability sessions
  • Help develop and implement quantitative surveys
  • Conduct stakeholder workshops and interviews
  • Extract insights about user behaviors from our data tools
  • Translate user insights into actionable recommendations for the product team
  • Craft personas and other “information radiators” (e.g. journey maps) to communicate insights across the design and development teams
  • Present design research findings to the larger team in a clear and organized fashion
  • Work closely with the product teams to identify and optimise research objectives
  • Establish and implement an overall research strategy across tribes

What you can bring to the table:

  • Proven experience with research design utilizing various methods including but not limited to usability studies, contextual inquiry, and surveys.
  • Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting
  • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process
  • Experienced problem solver and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a drive for perfection
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • Have working knowledge of accessibility guidelines and best practices is a big plus
