Your role as a UX Researcher will be to create the conditions for product success, by providing strategic research that the team needs at all stages of the product lifecycle, and developing into a growing knowledge center as expert on our user's wants and behaviors.

You’ll become a foundational and highly collaborative member of a small but high-impact Product and Design team who’s shared goal is to design, build, evaluate and iterate its way to the most elegant product solutions. As the first in-house researcher, your goal will be to advocate for the right product decisions by working to provide strategic answers to our most pressing questions, and build a foundation of research for future generations.

In this role, you will:

—Carry out practical, impact-focused research throughout the product lifecycle proactively and on request

—Be highly collaborative with Designers and Product Managers to define, answer and measure strategic research questions, with the aim of guiding product decisions towards success

—Surface user and product insights via a variety of methods, including but not limited to surveys, interviews, usability studies, ethnography, and a/b tests

—Share findings with Product Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and others to create a more informed and more impactful product team

—Create, maintain and scale a growing knowledge base

—Participate in internal outreach by sharing data and creating opportunities for learning and discussion

—Prioritize appropriately: use good judgement to make appropriate tradeoffs to speed up product learning and balance competing, and often changing, priorities.

A perfect candidate has:

—At least 2-4 years industry experience

—Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative and analysis

—Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams

—Competence and understanding of the product, design and development process and its cycles

—Ability to make findings tangible, actionable and focused

—Passion for being involved in the big picture, while fearlessly diving into the details

—Adaptable attitude; comfortable with a fast-paced, agile product process

—Sound judgement; make product decisions based on best available qualitative and quantitative user feedback

—No ego; the focus is always on getting to the right answers and insights, and doing what is right for the company and customer.

—The ability to flourish with minimal guidance, but be proactive when seeking out feedback, and handle uncertainty, ambiguity and quickly evolving goals well
