What this role is:

Your primary focus for this role will be on enabling and conducting research that provides rich and actionable user insights our product teams need at every stage of the product development lifecycle. You’ll embed with a team of designers, Product Managers, and other cross-functional partners. You’ll work collaboratively with these folks (who are also doing research) to enhance our understanding of users and user behavior and to improve our product decision-making.

What you’ll be doing:

• Participating and assisting with designing, planning, and running research projects, from start to finish, which may include supporting recruiting, study prepping, analyzing data, synthesizing research, and communicating findings to stakeholders
  
• Partnering with other researchers, product designers, and product managers to conduct research
  
• Conducting practical and impactful research across the product lifecycle, from generative to evaluative and everywhere in between
  
• Bringing insights about users using a variety of methods - surveys, interviews, log analysis, usability studies, diary studies, ethnographic observation, or a new method not currently in our toolkit
  
• Sharing findings with designers, engineers, product managers, and others, leading to a more informed and more empathetic product team
  
• Participating in outreach to the company by teaching, telling stories, and soliciting perspective
  
• Contributing to and curating insights from the research repository
  

More specifically, we’re looking for someone with:

• Familiarity with a variety of research methods
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Experience analyzing and summarizing data for a variety of audiences
  
• Collaborative approach
  
• Bachelors' degree in UX Design, UX Research, Behavioral Psychology, Human Factors, HCI, Product Design, Anthropology or equivalent related program - OR - Graduate of accelerated learning program (e.g., General Assembly, Bloc, DesignLab, Springboard) focused on UX Design or UX Research
  

Bonus points:

• Experience with UX research in B2B & regulated industries
  
• Experience with unmoderated testing platforms
  
• Previous experiences with IT-related technologies
  
• Quantitative data analysis chops
  
• Interaction design experience
  

Where you’ll be working

All our roles are remote in the U.S. unless otherwise specified. Our Headquarters is in the Denver/Boulder, CO area. Once we reopen our offices you will have the opportunity to remain fully remote (in the U.S.), work from one of our office locations (CO only currently) or flex your time.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual compensation range for this role is $65,000-$75,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. JumpCloud provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, short and long term disability, life insurance and a 401k savings plan. We have an unlimited vacation policy.
