**Looking for Qualitative UX Researchers!

Job Description: Within our team, research spans every step of the product life cycle, from understanding people's latent needs before we build products, to assuring the products we build deliver world class user experiences, to measuring the impact of our products once they are in use.

For this position, we are looking for experienced individuals who will help elevate the practice of research with creative but rigorous qualitative and/or design research methods.

At Facebook App Commerce, we're building experiences that will fundamentally change the course of commerce - helping every person discover things they love with input from their communities, while providing economic opportunity for everyone. Help us growing sellers on Marketplace by deeply understanding their needs.


As a UX researcher on NPE, you’ll have the opportunity to partner directly with a single, tightly integrated pod with significant freedom to operate with the time, people and space necessary for conceiving, building and launching brand new products. Research is paramount to this organization’s success - formative research is needed to identify the right latent needs or problems in the world to tackle with product solutions, iterative design research is needed to mold early product ideas into testable prototypes, and creative evaluative research is needed to improve and prepare those products for market.

Skills The right candidate for this role has experience in:

  • Must have at least 4 years of UI/UX experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of UI/UX experience with a Masters/PhD.
  • Mixed methods (Qualitative leaning, but familiarity with quant is preferred): Perhaps what's needed is a rapid feedback survey or it could be a diary study or a 1:1 interview. You get to decide what's appropriate depending on what you're trying to answer.
  • Product leadership: A solid product thinker who can connect the dots and help sway product decisions based on rich research insights.
  • Champion of quality: **You care about the experience and represent the voice of Marketplace sellers in meetings and in every product decision.
  • Excellent collaborator: You establish deep relationships and collaborate with product teams within and outside of Marketplace
