The way we build our product is by putting a team together with all the skills and context it needs to be able to solve problems. This means you will be working alongside product managers, UX designers, software engineers, data scientists and many others to work on a variety of problems in a hugely exciting industry.

What you will be doing:

You will be in charge of UX Research across all of our products and end users, focusing on the Japanese market. Your role is to become a bridge between our product teams based in London and our users in Japan. This means establishing best practices for UX Research by taking our Engagement Managers, Product Managers, and Designers through the process, designing research templates that we can adapt to future projects, and maintaining a repository of user insights.

Here’s a bit more detail about the role:

  • You will design and lead a regular flow of 2-3 research projects of varying sizes to gather insights on our user groups in Japan, with support from our Designers, Engagement Managers, and PMs.
  • You will conduct the research according to your plans, taking on the role of both project manager for research efforts and lead facilitator in interviews.
  • You will establish bilingual templates in that our team members can leverage when setting up their own studies, including research briefs, participant recruitment, survey templates, interview templates, and insight reports.
  • You will map all of the user groups that we cover and establish a repository of personas for each.
  • You will build our repository of research insights, ensuring that team members within Product and Go-to-Market teams find it useful to both add insights and draw from them to make educated decisions.
  • You will communicate research findings broadly across the business, focusing on the value that these insights bring to our teams.
